Elleby Harper promised herself she’d be a novelist when she was just ten years old, but a distrust in her own intuition took her down other roads. Previous career incarnations include working as a medical receptionist, a croupier in a busy casino, an exhibition curator, a librarian and a journalist, before finally succumbing to her passion for fiction writing.
She loves to create worlds filled with deceit and hidden agendas, where everyone has their secrets and you never know what’s going to happen next. Life can be boring, books should never be.
Born in England, raised in Australia and with several years living, studying and working in various parts of North America, Elleby likes to bring a touch of internationalism to her work. She has a son who is still young enough to make her feel wanted and a husband who is her supportive rock.
Her guilty pleasures include Oz port wines, dark chocolate (of course!), binge watching Oz soapie Neighbours and hanging out with her son.
